Your 2026 Guide to Dreamforce
Dreamforce is Salesforce’s flagship conference, bringing the Salesforce world together for three days each September to see what’s coming next. Expect product launches from Salesforce, real customers sharing what they’ve built and learned, and hands-on sessions that let you get stuck into the platform.
With over 1,600 breakout sessions across every product, role and industry, there’s more on offer than any one person could get through in three days.
Dreamforce takes place in San Francisco, at the heart of today’s AI boom, bringing Salesforce leaders, product experts, and customers together to explore what’s next. That makes this year’s theme, “Becoming an Agentic Enterprise”, particularly timely. If 2025 was about introducing AI agents, 2026 is about what happens once they’re live.
Whether it’s your first Dreamforce or your fifth, this guide will help you shortlight the key sessions across the Financial Services, Health and Life Sciences, Communications, Media & Technology, and Public Sector tracks, alongside our take on where each industry is heading with Salesforce.
What’s new at Dreamforce in 2026
2024 introduced Agentforce; 2025 brought the governance and observability needed for enterprise adoption. In 2026, Agentforce is moving beyond answering questions to taking action across workflows, apps and channels, with Salesforce highlighting agent orchestration, Voice, Slack actions and multi-agent design.
Data 360 is central to that model. Salesforce positions it as the trusted context layer for Agentforce, unifying structured and unstructured data so agents can reason from relevant, governed information rather than isolated CRM records.
Headless 360 adds another important piece, exposing Salesforce data, business logic, permissions and workflows through APIs, MCP tools and CLI commands. Agents can use the capabilities organisations already have in Salesforce, rather than operating as a separate layer alongside them.
Understanding the session types
Dreamforce runs eight different session formats, each suited to a different kind of learning.
Dreamforce has eight session formats, each designed for a different way of learning:
- Main Keynote: The flagship event, where Salesforce leaders unveil what’s next through product announcements and customer stories. If you attend one session live, make it this.
- Keynote: 50-minute deep dives into a topic, role or industry, combining product vision with customer stories.
- Breakout: 45-minute, lecture-style sessions led by product experts, followed by Q&A. Best for exploring a specific solution or use case in depth.
- Theatre: 20-minute, walk-in sessions built around a single, focused takeaway. Ideal between other sessions.
- Hands-on Training: 90-minute guided exercises with a product expert and computers provided. Best for building practical platform skills.
- Workshop: 60-minute, interactive sessions where experts help you put concepts into practice. Bring your own device or use one provided.
- Roundtable: 60-minute, peer-led discussions moderated by an expert. Ideal for sharing practices and benchmarking against organisations facing similar challenges.
- Certification Exam: An opportunity to earn a recognised Salesforce credential on the spot, demonstrating your platform expertise to employers.
Guide to Dreamforce for Financial Services
For financial services, Dreamforce is all about Agentforce. Salesforce is going big on pre-built AI agents designed for banking, wealth management and insurance – tools that handle the admin (meeting prep, client service queries, compliance checks, follow-ups) so advisers and relationship managers can spend their time on the work that grows the book.
Whether you’re already on Financial Services Cloud or still weighing it up, these are the best sessions to attend to get the most out of your Dreamforce experience.
Top Dreamforce Sessions to Attend
Navigate the Wealth and Asset Management Headless Experience
This peer-led session explores the headless paths available to wealth and asset management firms looking to run Salesforce without a traditional front-end. You’ll benchmark your firm’s readiness alongside peers and walk away with a clearer picture of the architectural steps needed to let the platform do more of the heavy lifting. If you’re ready to move beyond screen-based CRM, this is the room to be in.
Who it’s for: Developers
When: Thursday 17 September, 1:30 PM PDT
Session type: Roundtable
Ziipline’s take: Headless architecture becomes important when adviser workflows span multiple systems and data needs to move fluidly between Salesforce, portfolio tools, custodians and client portals.
These decisions are difficult to unwind, so hearing how other firms are approaching them is particularly valuable. It’s also foundational for Agentforce: if agents are going to act across systems, the architecture needs to support it.
Beyond the Pilot: Scaling AI that Actually Sticks
Most firms have run an AI pilot by now. The harder question is which use cases hold up once they leave the sandbox and hit real users, real data, and real compliance requirements. This peer discussion cuts past the proof-of-concept stage and gets into what it takes to scale AI across a financial services organisation, and how to measure whether it’s actually delivering.
Who it’s for: Executives
When: Tuesday 15 September, 3:30 PM PDT
Session type: Roundtable
Ziipline’s take: The gap between a successful AI pilot and scaled deployment is where many initiatives fail. In financial services, poor data, governance delays and user adoption are common blockers.
This roundtable is valuable because it gets beyond the demo to what’s working in production. If Agentforce or AI is on your roadmap, it’s a chance to learn where others have hit the real-world friction points before you encounter them yourself.
Agentic Insurance Unlocked: Data, Scale, and Growth
This insurance-focused session looks at how leading insurers are using Agentforce and Financial Services. Cloud to lift producer productivity and improve retention without tearing out their existing tech stack. Expect real examples of how firms have scaled agentic AI into day-to-day operations and the data foundations that made it possible.
Who it’s for: IT Business Leaders
When: Thursday 17 September, 1:30 PM PDT
Session type: Breakout
Ziipline’s take: The value here is its focus on what insurers can do with the technology they already have. We see Agentforce deliver the most value when it’s embedded into existing workflows, rather than treated as a separate AI initiative.
The real-world examples and data patterns make this session particularly useful for understanding what production-ready Agentforce looks like, and how to apply those lessons to your own roadmap.
Guide to Dreamforce for Health and Life Sciences
Health and life sciences organisations are sitting on enormous volumes of clinical, commercial and patient data, but too often it lives in systems that don’t talk to each other.
That’s the need Salesforce is tackling head-on at Dreamforce 2026 with Agentforce for Health and Life Sciences Cloud.
For healthcare organisations, this means fewer disconnected systems and a clearer view of patients, providers and partners. For life sciences firms, it means faster commercial execution, smarter clinical trial operations and more consistent engagement with healthcare professionals.
Whether you’re already on Health Cloud or exploring what Salesforce can do for your organisation, this is the track where you’ll see what’s working in production and what’s coming next.
Top Sessions to Attend
Agentforce Life Sciences: The Go-Live Playbook
This session brings together teams that are already live on Agentforce Life Sciences to share what they’ve learned across patient services, access programmes, HCP (healthcare professional) engagement and commercial operations. It’s practical, experience-led and focused entirely on what happens after go-live rather than what the platform can do in theory.
Who it’s for: IT Business Leaders
When: Wednesday 16 September, 8:30 AM PDT
Session type: Roundtable
Ziipline’s take: Post-go-live experience is still rare in an industry where many organisations are early in their Agentforce journey.
These teams have already worked through the compliance, data and change-management challenges of putting AI agents into live patient and HCP workflows. That firsthand experience is invaluable if you’re building the business case or planning your own rollout.
Agentforce for Health: Proof to Production
Aimed at provider and payer teams who have moved past the Agentforce pilot phase, this workshop is run by three Salesforce architects walking attendees through the operational impact of putting agents into live clinical and claims workflows. The hour ends with each participant building a concrete deployment strategy for their own organisation.
Who it’s for: Administrators
When: Tuesday 15 September, 2:30 PM PDT
Session type: Workshop
Ziipline’s take: The gap between an Agentforce proof of concept and a live production deployment is where most health organisations are getting stuck.
Compliance obligations become genuine engineering problems once agents move into clinical or claims workflows, so a session led by architects who have already taken deployments over that line carries real practical weight. Worth attending if you’re building the internal business case for scaling agents in a HIPAA-regulated environment and want the deployment view rather than another capability showcase.
Beyond the Browser: Headless 360 for Health & Life Sciences
Health and life sciences organisations run clinical and commercial workloads on systems that were never designed to talk to each other, and this workshop looks at how Headless 360 addresses that problem by decoupling the data layer from the interface. Speakers from BioIVT and Boston Scientific bring the practitioner view alongside the product perspective, showing what a headless architecture actually changes about interoperability across channels and devices.
Who it’s for: Architects, IT Business Leaders
When: Wednesday 16 September, 3:00 PM PDT
Session type: Workshop
Ziipline’s take: Interoperability in HLS has been a stated goal for a decade, and the underlying architecture has usually been the blocker.
Headless approaches are gaining traction because they let organisations modernise incrementally while keeping clinical continuity intact, which matters when the systems in question support live patient care. Worth attending if you’re making architectural decisions this year that will need to hold up for the next five.
Guide to Dreamforce for Media and Communications
The media and communications track at Dreamforce 2026 splits into two distinct paths.
On the media and entertainment side, Salesforce is zeroing in on how Agentforce can drive ad revenue and audience engagement at scale, with sessions covering everything from advertising sales transformation to B2C subscription management.
For telcos, the conversation is about headless commerce and autonomous agents that help operators capture new revenue streams without ripping out legacy infrastructure.
Across both, companies seeing results are the ones that got their data house in order first. If your organisation is still running on fragmented systems and siloed audience or customer data, this track will show you what needs to happen before AI can do anything useful.
Top Sessions to Attend
The Data Foundation for Media, Sports, and AI
Media and sports companies have an abundance of audience data, but most of it still exists in disconnected systems that make personalisation and AI adoption harder than it needs to be. This peer session brings together organisations that are working through how to unify that data and put it to work, from powering personalised experiences through to building a foundation that Agentforce can actually scale on.
Who it’s for: Executives, IT Business Leaders
When: Thursday 17 September, 11:30 AM PDT
Session type: Roundtable
Ziipline’s take: Data unification is rarely a single project in media. Ad sales, subscriber retention and audience personalisation each have different data, governance and latency requirements.
The organisations getting value from Agentforce are tackling those use cases deliberately, building the right data foundations around specific outcomes. This session is useful for understanding how others have sequenced that work—and what it takes to move from planning to production.
Media Meets Tech: The Future of Advertising Sales
Media and tech leaders share how they transformed their advertising sales operations from the ground up. This session goes beyond the theory and into the specifics of how these organisations aggregated their data, deployed AI across the sales process, and rebuilt the way their teams sell advertising as a result.
Who it’s for: Executives, Sales
When: Wednesday 16 September, 2:30 PM PDT
Session type: Roundtable
Ziipline’s take: Advertising sales is unusually complex, with different pricing, audience and packaging models across linear, digital and programmatic.
The key to scaling AI here is getting the underlying product catalogue and data model right first. This session offers a practical look at how other media organisations have approached that groundwork and what it means for your own rollout.
How Telcos Use Humans and Agents for Personalised Marketing
This session explores how leading telco operators are combining customer data with Agentforce and Marketing Cloud to deliver hyperpersonalised marketing at scale, and where the line sits between what agents handle autonomously and where human marketers still need to step in.
Who it’s for: Marketing
When: Wednesday 16 September, 3:00 PM PDT
Session type: Theatre
Ziipline’s take: Personalisation at telco scale depends as much on governance as it does on AI. Consent, frequency caps and suppression rules need to be built into the data and journey architecture from the start.
This session is particularly relevant for Marketing Cloud teams looking to use Agentforce at scale, with a focus on where automation can add value while keeping human oversight and regulatory requirements intact.
Guide to Dreamforce for Public Sector
Public sector organisations are under pressure to close the gap between the services they promise and what they can actually deliver. That’s the theme behind this year’s Dreamforce track, the agentic government.
Sessions cover Missionforce’s new government templates and sovereign solutions, GovCloud environments built to meet US government security authorisations such as FedRAMP High and DoD Impact Levels, unifying fragmented portals into a single digital front door, and using Agentforce to cut manual workload across HR, IT and operations.
If your organisation wants to move past pilot projects and into genuine delivery, this track has the detail to back it up.
Top Sessions to Attend
Create a Digital Front Door for Public Sector
This session looks at how agencies are modernising public-facing services by bringing fragmented portals together into a single, unified front door. Expect practical detail on how AI-powered experiences are being layered on top to make services faster to access and easier to navigate.
Who it’s for: IT Business Leaders
When: Wednesday 16 September, 10:00 AM PDT
Session type: Breakout
Ziipline’s take: The same challenge exists across UK public services: fragmented portals, logins and case management systems create a disjointed citizen experience.
The difficult part is connecting the data and case management underneath without rebuilding everything. Pay attention to how agencies sequence that work, because trying to tackle every service at once is where transformation programmes often stall.
Agentforce for Government: Scale Experiences, Support Staff
Discover how agencies leverage Agentforce 360 to manage escalating demand and constrained teams. This session provides concrete examples of scaling personalised services and accelerating response times without expanding headcount.
Who it’s for: IT Business Leaders
When: Tuesday 15 September, 2:00 PM PDT
Session type: Roundtable
Ziipline’s take: For Agentforce to genuinely reduce workload, the critical decision is where autonomous resolution ends and human handoff begins.
That depends on confidence thresholds, knowledge quality and escalation design. This session is worth attending for insight into how agencies are balancing automation with the trust and oversight citizens expect.
From Back Office to Mission Impact with AI
HR and IT teams rarely get the spotlight in government AI conversations, but they’re often the fastest route to proving Agentforce works before it ever touches a citizen-facing service. This session looks at how agencies are turning internal automation into a measurable case for mission impact.
Who it’s for: Operations
When: Wednesday 16 September, 3:30 PM PDT
Session type: Theatre
Ziipline’s take: This is one of the sessions we’d recommend for organisations looking for a lower-risk starting point for Agentforce. HR and IT processes are often structured enough to automate and measure quickly, making them useful proving grounds.
The real value is learning how agencies are measuring time saved and capacity released. That gives you a practical framework for building the business case for wider Agentforce adoption.
Say hello to the Ziipline team
The Ziipline team will be at Dreamforce throughout the event. Keep an eye out for the team in their branded shirts. If you’d like to talk through any of the sessions covered here, or how they apply to your own roadmap, drop us a line ahead of the event, and we’ll dedicate time to have a chat.
