VTO with a Christmas Twist
For our last VTO day of the year, we took on a special challenge called The 12 Days of Ziipmas. We split into teams and raced to collect essential items for several great charities across London, all before time ran out.
We gathered all sorts of things, like adult dental kits, shaving sets, baby bundles, and Socks ‘n’ Chocs. There were some festive challenges too. We needed to take 7 photos with Father Christmas, find and photograph 2 Christmas scenes, and spot 9 Christmas trees. This made everyone get creative – some teams even dashed into restaurants, pubs, and offices to complete the list.
Even with the fun and chaos, the donations really mattered. Eight charities, including Centrepoint, Young Lives vs Cancer, Crisis, and Age UK, received bundles of key items. Depending on how quickly each team completed the challenge and how strong their Christmas photos were, each charity received a donation of between £200 and £750. As always, the competitive streak was strong, but there was also a clear sense of purpose behind it. Everyone wanted to win, and not just for glory.
The day carried on in true Ziipline style, with a stack of board games and the return of the Christmas Bake Off. This year’s table was packed with sweet and savoury entries, and the judging wasn’t easy. Then it was time to get dressed up and head to Shoreditch for our Christmas party.
After a three-course dinner, a lot of dancing, and even more photos, we crowned our Ziipers of the Year. It’s always a highlight, and this time we had a tie. Molly, Andy, and Sarah all took the win. A massive well done to each of you.
It was a great way to close out the year. Here’s to more of the same in 2026.
